‘Coronavirus Case In Nigeria Is Very Suspicious’- Fani-Kayode Speaks Out In the past few days, Nigeria among five African countries recorded its first index case of COVID-19 from an Italian man who returned to Nigeria from Milan.

The government has since refused to release true identities of the infected Italian and the 156 passengers on board the aircraft that brought in the index case of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

However, Reacting, Fani-Kayode wondered why the name of the italian and his picture has not been released, describing the situation as suspicions

The former minister also criticized the Lagos State Commissioner for Health for visiting the Italian without protective gear.

On his Twitter page, he wrote:

“The Italian that brought coronavirus into Nigeria has not been named & his picture has not been released to the public.The driver that was alleged to have driven him to Abeokuta said he did not do so. The passengers on the plane in which he flew into Nigeria cannot be traced.

“The claim that he was an employee of a company and that he went to their office in Lagos after leaving the airport has proved to be false. Finally the Lagos state Comm. of Health went to see the Italian without wearing any protective gear.

“Something doesn’t add up in this saga.”
