He put down the gun and returned to were others were sitting on the grass, they were smoking and drinking.

Another gun man that followed Mr. Okoye came back with a bag, they discussed with low voices.

He came towards us with the bag he was carrying, he dropped it on the ground and squat.
Brought out two take-aways from it and two bottles of drink, he tossed the bag away.

Dropped one take-away on my laps and walked over to Ugochukwu who was tied behind me.
The one holding the food called one that was smoking on a tree ‘Aboki’ to come over, I just dey hear Aboki upadan. Hope say we nodey Boko Haram camp oh, because all their names na Aboki.

Gun man 1: feed that one?

He took the take-away from my laps and removed the band, then opened it. It was lap of chicken and fried rice inside it.

Me: you wan feed me?

Their two were quiet for awhile, they later changed their mind and untied us.

One of the gun man came to were they tied us to each other, and stared at us for a long time.

Two more joined him with their guns.

The one that shot the gun in the air yesterday, shot twice again. If na only this guy them for don kill us since.

Gun man2: I no wan hear pim again, if shit dey catch you. Hold am till the general election finish.

The three of them started laughing, I started hearing heavy foot-falls smashing on dead leaves and fallen sticks from a distance.
The foot-falls came closer and another gun man with gun appeared before us, sweating and panting heavily.

Gun man4: government don mount everywhere.
